R+T Turkey 2015 finishes with higher visitor numbers
Marked rise in the proportion of international visitors / Propensity to invest
reflects the good mood in the industry
More visitors, more exhibitors: that was the outcome of R+T Turkey, Trade Fair for Roller Shutters, Doors/Gates and Sun Protection. 7,021 visitors (2013: 6,689
visitors) met 119 exhibitors (2013: 116 exhibitors) from home and abroad, and
obtained information directly about innovations and trends. According to the
visitor survey, the most popular topics were awnings (39%), pergolas (36%), roller shutters and accessories (30%), window shutters (26%), door/gate systems (16%)and internal sun protection systems (14%).
"The crowds of visitors on the exhibition stands not only made exhibitors happy,
the positive mood could also be felt everywhere at the event. R+T Turkey once
again clearly demonstrated that it is becoming an important industry trade fair in
the Mena region," concluded Ulrich Kromer von Baerle, CEO of Messe Stuttgart.
Exhibitors and visitors from all over the world
The trade fair, which was staged for the second time on the Bosporus in
November, especially became more international. 29 per cent of exhibitors (2013: 16 per cent) came from abroad. The proportion of international visitors rose to 32 per cent (2013: 27 per cent).. Almost half of the visitors travelled to Istanbul from a radius of more than 300 kilometres. In addition to Turkey, the most important visitor countries included the neighbouring states of Iran, Greece and Bulgaria, as well as Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, but also Germany, Italy, Russia, Kosovo, China and Israel. R+T Turkey therefore clearly demonstrated its leading position as the trade fair for roller shutters, doors/gates and sun protection in Turkey, Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
"There are many good reasons why we exhibit at R+T Turkey: in particular, we
want to cultivate our existing contacts. Turkey is the bridge in the Middle East
since our partners from this region can enter the country without a visa. This
makes it easier for them to attend R+T Turkey and for us to look after our
customers," said David León Chantres, Export Department, Expalum.
On the whole, visitors awarded the trade fair a good overall mark of 2,3.
This was also reflected in a large number of visitors stating their intention to come back to R+T Turkey. 86 per cent of visitors said they would definitely attend the next event while 88 per cent stated they would recommend R+T Turkey to other people.
"R+T Turkey 2015 was a first-class and focused trade fair," concluded
Birsen Karakaya, Industrial Fabric Manager, İCA. "We were very satisfied with the number of visitors and the interest they showed in our products. With the general conditions and the implemented marketing measures, the organiser make a very positive contribution towards the success of the trade fair."
Many decision-makers at the event.
There was a remarkably large number of decision-makers at R+T Turkey 2015.
Almost two thirds (65%) of visitors were decision-makers from business and
company management. Overall, the expertise of visitors was first rate: 93 per cent of visitors said they were involved in purchasing and procurement decisions while 60 per cent of visitors were planning to make investments in the next six months.
Exhibitors and the organiser alike were impressed by the contacts' high level of
expertise and propensity to invest. "The trade fair fulfilled our expectations. We
were satisfied with the quality of the discussions. Both the expertise and number of visitors were high. We even met visitors from markets that are new to us. All in all, R+T Turkey 2015 was a success for our company and we will also exhibit here again in future", said Hasan Basmacı, Managing Director of BARIŞ TENTE.
The next R+T Turkey will be held in Istanbul in spring 2017.
